What is the difference between the Full Head Kit and Half Head Kit?

The Full Head Kit contains 160g across 7 wefts and is designed to add both length and volume for a full transformation. The Half Head Kit contains 80g across 4 wefts and is ideal for adding length to thick natural hair, or volume to finer hair without needing a full set.

What lengths are available?

Both kits are available in 16", 18", 20", and 22" lengths. We recommend 18" as the most versatile everyday length — long enough to blend beautifully, short enough to style easily. 20" and 22" are ideal for a more dramatic transformation.

Can I use heat tools on these extensions?

Accepted Answer

Yes — because our extensions are 100% human hair, they can be straightened, curled, and styled with heat tools. We recommend keeping heat below 180°C and always using a heat protectant spray. Avoid applying heat directly to the tape bonds.

How long do the extensions last?

With proper care, the hair itself can be reused for up to 9 months. Each tape application lasts 2–4 weeks, depending on your hair type, oil production, and aftercare routine. When the tape lifts, simply remove with our Remover Solution and re-apply with fresh tape strips — the hair remains in excellent condition.

Do I need a hairdresser to apply tape-in extensions?

Are tape-in extensions suitable for fine hair?

Yes, tape-in extensions are one of the most suitable methods for fine hair because they lie flat against the head and distribute weight evenly. We recommend the Half Head Kit (80g) for very fine hair to avoid stress on your natural strands. Start with fewer wefts and build up if needed.

Can I wash my hair with extensions in?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with care. Wait at least 48 hours after application before washing. Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, apply conditioner from mid-length to ends only (avoid the bonds), and wash in a downward motion. Avoid scrubbing at the roots. We recommend washing every 2–3 days maximum to extend tape life.

How do I remove the extensions?

Accepted Answer

Apply our Extension Remover Solution to each tape bond and let it sit for 30–60 seconds. The bond will loosen and the weft can be gently slid down and removed. Never pull the wefts out dry — always use remover. After removal, use a fine-tooth comb to remove any residue from your natural hair.

Can I sleep with tape-in extensions in?

Yes. We recommend braiding your hair loosely or tying it in a low ponytail before bed to prevent tangling. Our Silk Pillowcase and Silk Scrunchies are designed to minimise friction while you sleep, helping your extensions (and natural hair) stay smooth and last longer.

What if I order the wrong shade?

If you receive your order and the shade isn't quite right, we offer exchanges on unopened, unused products within 14 days of delivery. Contact us at hello@queenenvyhair.com.au and we'll sort out a shade exchange for you.

Can I dye or colour the extensions?

Accepted Answer

Because our hair is 100% human Remy, it can technically be coloured. However, we do not recommend bleaching or lightening the hair as this can damage the cuticle and significantly shorten the hair's lifespan. Going darker is possible with caution. We always recommend consulting a professional colourist.

How long does delivery take?
